This sad situation seems to be a result of two overlapping forces:
- More and more focus in the society on success, or at least appearance of such, being in top shape and hiding ones ills. Being old is unpopular : (
- Less and less money in the budget for the elderly care
Perhaps "dementia tax" wasnt such a bad idea after all? But my guess you voted Labour? ; )
