Steem is THE best platform to share your most intimate thoughts
You have something you really need to get off your mind. But you are afraid.
Maybe your writing just sucks. Maybe the topic is highly controversial, or an embarassing fact about your personal life. You are afraid that people will disagree with you, judge you or laugh about you. You are afraid that your publisher will fire you, that your followers will unsubscribe from you, that random people all over the internet could send you death threats. You are afraid that sharing what you think will put you in public scrutiny for the rest of your life.
Steemit is the perfect platform for these writers. You can be anonymous (if you want to) and still earn from your writing. But the real killer feature is this: Unlike many other platforms, Steemit only promotes positively judged content.
For you as a writer, this is a win-win situation. If your post gets popular, then lots of people do understand your view and sympathize with you. You will earn a great payout as a reward for opening up your most intimate thoughts to the public.
Now, if your post does not get popular, then, sure, you didn't earn anything, but you didn't lose anything either. If your post did not earn anything, that means it has not been very visible, hence, not many people saw it. No angry mob will show up at your doorstep.
And the system actually works. During my brief time on Steemit, I have seen some popular posts about controversial topics - discussion of universal income, criticism of the taxation system. Stories of addiction, abuse, depression and misery.
The mechanisms behind Steemit open up a whole new world to writers. And it is beautiful.
I will be sharing some of my own intimate thoughts in the future, and I hope you will too.
