My view on the name "Aso Rock" As concerning Nigeria seat of power.

Aso Rock:what a name. I have not really given a thought to the name of Nigeria's seat of power until recently.l don't really know the meaning of Aso or the language of derivation, but i sure know the meaning of Rock.Let me not bother you with definition but i seriously think there is something wrong with the name as it concerns Nigeria seat of power.

Since the transfer of the capital of Nigeria by Gen.Ibrahim Babanginda from Lagos to Abuja and the subsequent move of her seat of power from Dodan Barracks to Aso Rock, many heads of state and presidents has occupied it and left with one big scar or the other, including Gen. Babanginda who was practically forced out of office after ruling as a head of state and military president for years.. He handled one of the fairest election ever held in Nigeria and caused the subsequent death of the acclaimed winner Chief Moshood Abiola .

lBB was a fine soldier with good intention for the country with his resolution to return the country to a democratically elected government , until the devil in Aso and the Rock twarted that plan, yet nobody really knew what happend. His successor, Gen. Sani Abacha was practically consumed by the evil in Aso and the Rock and he died only God knows how.

Gen. A. Abubarkar came to the knowledge that something was wrong in the so called Aso and the Rock, he wisely and quickly made arrangement for in coming administration and left. I believe he is the only occupant of the Aso and Rock with his reputation intact.

Then came Ernest Shonekan who stayed briefly in the Aso and Rock but the Rock never got him because he wasn't part of the system. Chielf Olusegun Obasanjo came and having had a taste of what it entails to rule a nation was supposed to come prepared without being tutored by anybody. He ruled for eight years and was overtaken by the Aso and Rock to seek for tenure elongation . I dont really know weather he deposited some part of his own evil in the Rock ,for evil beget evil.

Nigeria was practically been ruled by this man till date even after leaving office so many years. On his exit, he installed Musa Ya'adua in a yet another master peice of scheming and permutation . The evil in Aso and the Rock has truely increased . Ya'adua died in the office ,but not in Aso and Rock. I have always wondered whether his goodwill was becoming stronger that the evil in the Aso and the Rock before his death,because he was doing well before his death.

His vice Goodluck johnathan stepped in with good education and having learn the rope from the cradle, he has no cause to fail. He came with full concentration and a road map on the way to advance the social economic wellbeing of Nigerians ,but as time goes on, the evil in Aso and the Rock plus the one left behind by their political godfather OBJ crept in and he lost focus, leavin his ministers to turn Nigeria into a theatre of corruption. He left office because he did not lose the election which he could easily annul, he left because he suddenly became aware of the evil in the Aso and Rock which would have consumed him had it been he remained . M. Buhari is a strong willed human being both as a soldier and as a muslim. Most people will attest to the fact that the Buhari we have today in Aso and the Rock, wasn't the Buhari we use to know in Dodan Danraks. He never knew what was in Aso and Rock, nobody warned him. He totally relied in his military might but at last, he has been consumed beyond redemption. This was a man that knew where he was coming from and where he was going, a man you cannot easily bend into doing things against his will, unfortunately the evil in Aso and Rock got him.

Whether you believe it or not something henious Is wrong with that name Aso and Rock. It is time Nigeria change it and see how it will affect the future occupants of that seat.

In conclusion your name tell more of who you are and what you are called is your name.
