That bringing home a torch from a common bonfire sounds pretty awesome :) Halloween doesn't really seem to be a thing around here, we used to have parties before because any excuse for a party. Then we stopped. We're doing one this year again though, just going to be involve food and fun with friends, and probably no trick or treaters as we never get them and they're probably too scared of the werewolf and the cockatrices anyway XD
There's been a lot of scaring about poisoned/drugged candy (which is not a thing), and that's put a serious damper on the trick-or-treating. Recently, there's been a kind of revival by us, and maybe that's a thing all over.
