can we argue abit #the doctor is better than the farmer

Growing up, we must have perhaps had big dreams to be able to save the lives of our fellow humans. This is what we consider the most useful or probably the best service to humanity. This dream would have made us nurture the idea of being a doctor without really knowing what saving a life really entails.
Today, I stand to oppose the notion that says doctors are more important than farmers. Before I proceed I would like to shed more light on who a doctor is and who a farmer is.

Who is a Doctor? A doctor is a medical professional who practices medicine and is trained and concerned with promoting, maintaining or restoring health through the study of medicine. Doctors are people who tend to the sick and help heal them.
Who is a Farmer? A farmer is a person involved in agricultural activities such as raising field crops, orchards, vinegar, poultry and other livestock’s. Farmers are people who work on lands to raise living organism for food or raw materials.
Going on, after throwing light on who a doctor is and who a farmer is, I will like to support my view which support the farmers are better than the doctors!
In the early centuries before the advent of education, when our fore fathers only depended on their farm produce to survive, we can say that our fore fathers lived healthy lives with their agricultural produce without depending on any doctor to treat their ailment.

More so, farming is the most honorable profession as at then because it meets man’s basic need from cradle to grave “FEEDING”. From the first day of birth to our last day we depend on the right diet to keep us alive and healthy and this applies to both young and old
Furthermore, farming is the only profession in the whole world that serves other profession. Yes! I know you are wondering how right? As a lecturer, you eat daily to survive. As a doctor, you eat daily to survive. As a president, lawyer, accountant, cleaner, business man and woman, traditional ruler, religious leader, or whatever sector you find yourself you cannot survive without the produce of the farmer. Farming is a hardworking but noble profession that has dignity in labor.
Moving further, a farmer can be his own physician as he can see to the betterment of his health through herb produced by him. A lot of people today still make use of herbal produce to for treatment when they fall sick because they believe it is the most effective and efficient way of treatment in achieving better and quicker results.
In addition, Farmers are able to predict the weather condition. With the use of experience and initiative, the farmers are able to tell weather forecast, climate change and have full knowledge of their habitat and its immediate surroundings.
More so, every finished product we conveniently enjoy today are from one raw material or the other. Farmers go beyond just producing food for us eat, they grow raw materials which are useful in industries to produce finished or semi-finished products which cut across most sector of our economy. In this view, we can say that farmers are actively involved in economic growth. Most counties of the world today, depends on farming to generate revenues, internally and externally.
We can most likely say that medicine as a field of study depends on farming to get drugs, medications and treatment to ailment, through researches and findings.
In conclusion, every profession has its uniqueness and usefulness. From the most honorable to the least honorable. So, let’s appreciate the person(s) that makes every profession possible by meeting their basic need “FEEDING”. Even the sick needs farming produced first “FOOD’ before the doctors produce, “DRUG’ second.
I humbly believe that with these points of mine, I have been able to convince you that before our generation, in our generation, and after our generation, farmers are more important than doctors and any other profession.
