My African home

Growing up in an African home had always had this mesmerizing feeling and happiness that come with it,ranging from the beatings to the awkward looks to the awkward replies gotten from our parents,the tails are never one u wish u never experienced.

You are greateful for each one and wish u could get more.we too cultured to be grounded,asking an african parent to ground you is indirectly telling them to put you in a mortal and....well use your imagination cause darling its gonna be bloody,plus the sweetest part is that no one comes to bail you out,while you busy screaming for your ancestors to come save you they busy urging your parent to increase the beat and tempo.

Believe it or not,i dont have much memories of my own,i lived in the memories of my brothers and sister,if my dad touches you,the next person will repent by all cause.i grew up watching my father deal with my elder ones like it reduces blood pressure,his favorite weapon was that cow tail whip with four straws,i tell u if that thing touches your skin,ull turn to a jehova witness overnight.he did it with ease,most times i feared that he somehow derived joy from it.i promised my self each time never to anger him,to cary my duties deligently and with smile even though am being yelled at,did it work?well most of the times yeah,other times d frown on my face will betray me.

I remember one experience i had,my sister and i had stepped out to God knows where,she was and is way matured than i am,she had this boyfriend then,we had gone for a church bazar and she decided to stop over,we spent way much time than we should have,came home late and as expected the house was already lit,we just needed to step in to increase the heat.Father roared and yelled,as the little innocent one i was allowed to step out,but i went behind d window to see the show,that day he abandoned his whip and decided to use his hands.

Asked her what took her soo long to come home and most importantly bring me home,she started mumbling and playing with her words,sensing she was lying,father delt her a slap on the cheek which sent her halfway to the underworld,the earth became void and empty,i could tell,see my dad was a lefty,u so do not want him to slap u,I was so scared i thought she may have died or something,thankfully she regained consciousness after a few rounds of being sprinkled holy water,lol.
