Humanistic-Tribalism

in #writing7 years ago (edited)

A day came when the world had realized the fault in thinking narrowly in groups. Nations, religions and ethnicities still persisted, but they did not exclude and they did not pursue more followers. It was a revolution in thinking. Those who had desire to come together, did so, and those who disagreed with other ways did so respectfully. People were allowed to roam the Earth. Their only obligation was of the pursuit of kindness and wisdom. Their only crime was doing harm to others. That harm was clearly identified and agreed upon, but it held no doctrine on the individual nuances of human beings, so long as it didn’t bring about direct pain upon another. And so the world was molded by tribe, those who loved to build, built together. Those who loved to paint did so, those who worshipped Buddha met on mountaintops to give him glory, while those who saw the light in other stories and statues did as those customs suggested. And everyone had a home. No one was left out in the cold for their creed or color. Yes, it was a strange place indeed. One that didn’t exist.
