Individual Study or Group Study?

Students have their own way of learning. Some prefer to study independently for they are in favor of independent thinking. However, undeniably, there are several advantages of group study.

Statistically, students who study with their peers earn higher marks than those who study by themselves. The collective wisdom is helpful to their study. Moreover, students can help themselves and also their peers through cooperation. Also, group study involves interactions which motivate study and prevent boredom. Besides, discussion indeed facilitates our understanding of profound courses. As a result, group study is far more effective than independent study.

As for me, I am in favor of group study. In retrospect, my classmates and I benefited a lot from group study. Students may have different ways of learning, but the team spirit cultivated in group study will be beneficial throughout all our lives. So it is strongly suggested that students who have difficulty in study by themselves try group study and I am sure they will enjoy it.
