Culture vs motivation
Culture and motivation are different from each other but any consideration of the relation of culture to motivation depends on a conception of motivation and culture that can be linked. Motivation is the reason for people's actions, desires, and needs. Motivation is also one's direction to behavior, or what causes a person to want to repeat a behavior.
A motive is what prompts the person to act in a certain way, or at least develop an inclination for specific behavior. According to Maehr and Meyer, "Motivation is a word that is part of the popular culture as few other psychological concepts are.”wikipedia
Culture is defined as the social behavior and norms found in human societies. Culture is considered a central concept in anthropology, encompassing the range of phenomena that are transmitted through social learning in human societies. Some aspects of human behavior, social practices such as culture, expressive forms such as art, music, dance, ritual, and religion, and technologies such as tool usage, cooking, shelter, and clothing are said to be cultural universals, found in all human societies. The concept of material culture covers the physical expressions of culture, such as technology, architecture and art, whereas the immaterial aspects of culture such as principles of social organization (including practices of political organization and social institutions), mythology, philosophy, literature (both written and oral), and science comprise the intangible cultural heritage of a society. wikipedia
The system how people get motivated to achieve a desire position or some sort of peak level over a sustain period of time. The reality is motivation comes from within each of us, and we are a part of our culture. Motivation also varies country to country because every country has different cultures. Psychologists explain “culture “ in terms of individual motivation where anthropologists tend to do the reverse.

Well said. I would like to add that motivation may happen to us in a passive manner, like when you feel like doing something. It can also be a choice we make when we have high self-discipline. The later is the one that characterizes influential people. Culture has a great role in shaping how we get motivated.
yes this is how it really works.
