A Memorial Day Grumble and Timelapse Photo #40

Good morning!

My trio have the day off from school today, so they're coming to work with me. Buuuuut we waited and waited and waited for the bus this morning. Until a random passerby told us the bus doesn't run until 10 due to the Holiday.

What Holiday? 👎

Apparently today is Memorial Day, a day we remember our military. In Inari's words "No thanks."

It's also a day we wear Poppies in our lapel. How fitting. We have many pictures of US soldiers guarding fields filled with the Opium plant in Afghanistan.

I guess we're hippies in the sense that I believe the US should just stay out of other countries business. We don't need to be bombing Yemen or Syria or starting shit with Iran or giving Israel billions of dollars a year to wage their genocide against Palestinians.

I watched a video today of a guy climbing up the face of a building to save a young child from falling. He's a hero. I'll remember him instead.

Anyway, as we waited for the bus I took a few pictures.

The trees outside the church are in full bloom and the scent is just perfect.

These two are positively dripping in blooms. #lifegoals I must have some of these when we finally have a place of our very own. And some apple trees. And pear trees. And willows. 💜💜💜
