Writing Prompt # 1
Plot: You live in a world that runs on magic, but you always felt different, one day a bunch of men in masks come bursting through your door, pointing strange metal sticks at your family, from the back a man appears.
"You're coming with me."
He says looking at you, "You're a muggle Barry!"
"Muggle, what’s that? Is being muggle a bad thing or a good thing? ”
“Well, I don’t know whether it’s a good or bad, but many students of different universities are doing a doctorate on the same topic, I think we should get the answer soon. But about what muggle is, let me ask you some questions.”
“This is no time for a quiz. Barry, go to sleep. And you all, leave us alone.”, a mid-aged witch came running with a dragon egg in her hand.
“It’s already hard for us since his parents left him for us. He has to wake up early to start preparing for the Hogwarts Entrance Examination. The way he’s behaving, I don’t think he’ll be able to make it, ever.”, exclaimed the aunt with grief and frustration.
“Barry, has it ever occurred to you that you can commit crimes, oppress minority without getting punished by Ministry of Magic? Maybe you don’t have to wait for your owls to get a message that your owl has been fed. You can get the message in a moment via text. Would you love to have a house without owl shit? And life will be not this boring, as you’ll have to work hard to pay the rent of that house. Would it not be fun to do things on your own with no magic around to help you. A fun fact, most muggles believe magic is about making people fool through illusions. Would it not be fun to have someone drive you to a place rather than risking your life on a broom, buckbeak or flying car? Maybe you don’t have to sleep early, and you can waste your whole night drinking, smoking or sexting.”, asked Bagrid completely ignoring what aunt Letunia just said, classic muggle trick.
“Sounds great, let’s go. Bye everyone.”, said Barry with a smile that was never seen before.
“Sexting? He’s just 11, for God’s sake. I will never let that happen.”, fumed the aunt.
“Eleven is an average age.”, One of the guys showed her an educational video to convince her that she should just let Barry go, lest things can go down the same path where the story in the video went with the lady who refused to cooperate.
