ARE YOU KEEPING THE RIGHT COMPANY? TIME TO EVALUATE

There is a popular saying that show me your friends and i will tell you who you are, the bible also says that evil communication corrupt good manners. This sayings reflect how much friendship can influence one's life. If your friends are group of smokers and drinkers, you will soon realize that even though you are not a smoker or drinker, you might soon join them, if your friends are people who hate growth, don't be suprised if you start thinking like them. If your friends are go getters, achievers,people who aim for success, you will also be like them. I ask the same question again, Are you keeping the right company? Here are few ways you can find out and filter your friends if need be.

• Do they add meaning to your life- Check if your friends add any positive meaning to your life, Do they give you that positive vibes and drives that you need, do they ask for your next level of progress? or tell you that you are okay at the level that you are and you do not need to climb the ladder, then check and filter.

• Are you receiving any motivation-You can either be motivated positively or negatively, Which ones you being motivated on? Friends should motivate you to aim higher and reach your goals.

• Sharing of ideas- Friends share a lot of positive idea, ideas that impact their lives and move them to the top of the ladder. I read about a man who was talking about his friend and why they are so close. One thing struck me, he said that when his friend has an idea, his friend would tell him about it and if he is not ready to take up that idea and his friend knows that this idea can yield fruits, he would invest in it for both of them and in the long run, when it yields fruits, he pays back and he does that also. Are your friends like that or even more than that, you are on the right track. If all your friends discuss are meaningless things, then you need to use the filter.

• Sharing of pain and joy- Most times you get lots of friends when things are going fine but you know your real and true friends when challenges arises because they are ready to stand by you through thick and thin. Are your friends the parasitic ones, who just want to feed on you and go, then you need to filter. Friends are supposed to be there both in joy and in the pain.
