Social Media In fact Can Make People So Anti-Social
Social media is presented to make communication easier. But unfortunately, the reality turned instead.
In fact, nowadays there are many people who are more fun with gadgets or accounts in the virtual world than social interaction in the world. This means that social media even make people become anti-social?
Before reviewing further, there is a difference between antisocial psychological and antisocial science that is often touted in everyday conversation.
Antisocial in psychology is also called schizoid. It also includes a personality disorder that avoids contact with others and does not show much emotion.
Schizoid really prefer to be alone and look for jobs that require little social contact.
While antisocial that often be a remark in everyday conversation, usually more refers to the impact of social media, which is more active in the virtual world than interact in the real world.
People who spend a lot of time on social media, at least twice checking social media in a day, are more likely to feel socially isolated.
In addition, the use of social media today is increasingly misunderstood, for example they assume social media can substitute a more tangible social experience.
Because the more time a person spends in cyberspace, the less time they spend on real-world interactions.
How can not be "anti-social" even though I often play social media?
Social media greatly affects the psychological and social development of a person, especially when he has known social media since children.
In childhood, children need stimulation and socialization in a real world, like playing and chatting with each other.
The human brain actually requires multi-sensorial interaction from an early age, in order to develop healthy and functioning nerve cells later on.
Parents, or those who are caught in the preoccupation of social media influence, it's good to limit usage and time to in cyberspace. Do not forget to stay connected to the real world.
Try to interact, at least greet or greet each other when meeting family, friends or other people out there.
But, the influence of social media is not always negative.
Sometimes, the influence of social media is synonymous with negative impacts, but not always.
Social media also offers many benefits that enable us to stay in touch with our loved ones, to reconnect with old friends, and even to find common ground with those around.
