TONE OF CONTENT - My Kinsmen Mocked Me Because I Could Not Speak My Dialect

I often get mocked in the village for not knowing how to speak my dialect. When I speak with the central phonetic Igbo, they say they don't understand me and insist that I speak my dialect.

Having lived most of my life in the township, I lacked the ability to easily manoeuvre my dialect while discussing with my kinsmen.

I often sounded formal just like a professor sounded to a tout when he tried to exchange words with him in a bid to drive out of the motor park after dropping his son who was travelling to Enugu. The professor was simply a foreigner by virtue of his formality. You are speaking grammar for a motorpark tout?

Formality is class in content creation. You cannot possibly gather villagers and begin to speak in grand accent. You can imagine speaking to your lecturers in slangs and street tones.

You can observe that knowledge of your audience is still playing a role here.

Now that you know, don't make your kinsmen feel like villagers anymore.

Anyway, they are still villagers.
