I opened the door and discovered the city. I was surrounded by big dark buildings standing from each side of a road. Everything was calm excepting from some cars that were passing by. Everything was a bit dark, but not as dark as my room is when I switch off the light in order to sleep. There were lights, there were white bands of lights on the road contrasting with the black of the asphalt and the iron. There were same lights on the wall of buildings between two windows. I stood there in front of the door of the lab for a long time. Observing around me, contemplating the architecture of the city and this long and straight road.

Then I decided to move a bit and went on the direction of what seemed to be a commercial district. There were light signs of warm colors on which was written things as “restaurant” and some little drawing of foods. I wanted to know what city life was here in Krolis.

I made some steps on the direction of the restaurants and looked behind me. From there I had a better point of view and saw that the building was really less big than I thought, moreover it was pretty different from all other building, it was a bit lighter and there was a sign on which was written. A. Gobla’s laboratory, maybe Arya last name is Gobla.

While I were walking in the direction of the restaurants, I was looking a bit everywhere and I looked up at the sky but I couldn’t see what is known as stars. I wanted to see it because it said to be really beautiful but there were too much artificial lights I think. So, I continued by journey to the restaurants. When I arrived, I saw a place full of warm light with a lot of small building, the atmosphere was agreeable but one thing was worrying me. Everything was empty, all the restaurants and the coffee were closed. I felt a bit scared because I learned that those places were supposed to be places full of life and happy people.

Suddenly I heard something heavy approaching, and I heard something in my back, a metallic voice asking myself:

“What are you doing here? You are not supposed to be here at this hour!”

I didn’t look behind and I started running straight right in front of me, at the moment I started running the thing ran too, I was hearing heavy footstep stomping the ground. I was really scared, I mean I think that it is fear, it was almost the same feeling as when Arya touched me for the first time. But even worst.

After running about 30 seconds I arrived at the end of the street and there were two days where I was able to go, right and left. First, I looked behind me to see if the thing was still purchasing me and I saw it, it was a robot, about 2meters tall and with what seemed to be 2 arms and 4 legs. It was running straight toward me and I know that this robot is not able to feel anything or to think anything, but I felt like it wanted to kill me.

Then I heard something else, somebody was trying to attract my attention by doing some little noises with his mouth. I looked at my right but I didn’t see anybody, then I turned my head to the left and saw a girl.

She was standing there at the corner of the street, wearing a black pant and dark blue hoodie letting her dark hair out, she was also wearing kind of a mask that was covering half of her face, the only things I was able to see were her beautiful eyes and a birth mark with the shape of a “L” on the right of her forehead.

When I saw her, she told me to go with her if I don’t want to die. So, I did it even if I’m not sure that I’m leaving right now. It was kind of an instinctive decision.

I ran in her direction and turn on the left in the street in which she has emerged from. She caught my arm and pull me against her in a little hole on a wall. Then she obstructed it with a little wood plank and we climbed a ladder. We arrived on a balcony. She made me understand that I needed to be really quiet by putting her finger in front of her mouth and then she looked outside. At the same moment we were able to hear the robot approaching and then it suddenly stopped. After about 30 seconds it decided to go elsewhere.

“It’s gone” told me the girl, so I felt really calmer and regain consciousness.
“How stupid are you to be outside at such a late hour? Are you so dumb that you thought that one of those killer robots known as sentries will let you be there?”
“I was lost, I didn’t know that what I was doing was illegal…”
“How could you? Where are you from?”
“I was in the laboratory of Arya Gobla”
When she heard me telling her this, she started looking at me really differently, and I even felt some empathy in her eyes.

After some minutes of pure quiet she said: “Follow me I will bring you back from where you are safely” So, I did it and she bring me back to the lab. I opened the door and there where Arya standing in front of it, she looked to be mad and I know that I did something that I wasn’t supposed to do, so I understood that I was the reason why she was mad.

The girl that bring me back at the lab entered in the lab too and closed the door…
