“What happened to happily ever after”

Femi am not in the mood tonight, said Joyce to me, not again I yelled back at her, why can’t you perform your duties as my wife …….., well there goes my story, my name is Femi, and I married a woman who loves her job better than her home and am desperately in need of becoming a father but it seems my supposedly wife is not yet prepared to become a mother. Well what can I do?, I can’t force her into doing what she is not prepared to do because that would be called rape and assault, I said to myself as I laid on the bed hopelessly thinking of what to do next………., suddenly an idea popped up and I slept on it.

The next day, Femi woke excited and zealous, as he moved to the dining table to have breakfast, which was very unusual as he noticed it on his wife’s face as she looked at him and she very curious to know what behind the exictedness and Femi told her nothing, well let me cut the suspense, remember the idea that popped up which Femi slept over on, yes that was what made him excited because the idea he had was to set up his wife by bringing in a mistress into their home which will make his wife very angry and jealous and since he knows his wife loves him much, she has to decide whether to give him children or I marry the mistress. What a perfect plan, Femi said to himself…..

Who the hell is this? was the reaction of his wife when she came back from work, as she saw a lady in the kitchen preparing dinner for Femi or shall I say them that is his wife included, well he called out to Nancy “his supposedly mistress” and introduced her to his workaholic wife and then he told his wife that if she is not ready to give me children, he might just make the mistress his wife and divorce her. This was the first time Femi saw his wife as clueless as ever, as she stood in the sitting room looking at his mistress serving dinner. My plan was working, so I thought.

The next day which was a Saturday, Joyce woke up early to prepare breakfast for her husband only to meet innocent looking Nancy preparing breakfast for him too, well, Joyce just hissed and continued what she was preparing, when they were done, Nancy and Joyce called out to Femi to come and have breakfast, well honestly what Joyce prepared for Femi was not what He wanted to eat and coincidentally what Nancy prepared was what he wanted, so he decided to go with Nancy’s delicacy, Joyce raged with anger from the dining table. Femi laughed silently at his wife and gave Nancy high five for a job well done.

Joyce went out to her friends place and told her about her husband recent acts and behavior, the friend was very pissed with his act and decided to come to their house, in order to speak sense into Femi and deal with the mistress she said, well luckily for Femi, he also went out but Nancy was the only one in the house. When Joyce and her friend got to the house, she called out to Femi but Nancy answered and said he was not around, well after a few exchange of words between Nancy and Joyce’s friend, there was a fight and Nancy was not the fighting type, she was almost thrown out of the house when Femi came and intervened.

What is going on here, Femi said as he entered the sitting room, Nancy ran to his back for protection, I never expected this behavior from you Femi, I mean why would you choose this husband snatcher, prostitute, riff-rat over Joyce said Joyce friend, Enough of that, now get out said Femi to Joyce friend. Later that evening, Nancy met with Femi and said she can’t continue acting as his mistress because if he had not come back that afternoon, only God knows what would have happened to her. Femi pleaded with her to stay a little longer, well she accepted as he dipped his hand into his pocket with a check and he promised to increased her pay.

With tears over her face, her clothes soaked with tears, Joyce asked Femi why are you doing this to me?, What have I done to deserve this?, well Femi told her any day she is ready to give him children, is the day he will send Nancy away, but I have a contract am working on now, I have some paperwork’s I have to finish up and and…….and what said Femi as he looked at her face with disappointment and frustration and she thought to herself how selfish she has being towards him.

What happened to happily ever after? Femi asked himself, as he covered himself with the duvet

Well, after so many efforts Joyce took so Nancy could be driven away from her house which came to no avail, she decided to use her “womanly, innovative techniques in getting her husband back. Well I wont be able to discuss all but the peculiar method she used in winning Femi back was a day when she came into the house with her speaking over the phone to someone in a very charming voice, and she spoke with the person for a very long time smiling, and making some kind of body gestures and to top it all ended the call with “alright, I will be there”. Who was that? Asked Femi curiously, Joyce smiled and replied well it’s a friend of mine and then she walked out on Femi leaving him in a state of curiosity raised to the power of 1000, well some of you might want to ask what about his mistress, well it seems right now that the wife is winning back her man and his scheme is waxing really cold but right now the wife is in charge and she is killing it.

Joyce’s prepared to meet with her “mysterious friend” and she dressed really hot, where are you going to looking like this, asked Femi, A friend of mine said Joyce with a confidence that will melt any man, suddenly Femi ran to hug Joyce very tight and they cuddled for almost 2 minutes and instantly the wife pushed him off of her and walked out.

Joyce came backed later that evening, and told her husband that it was her friend she went to meet, you should have seen the look on the husband face, after so many talk Femi took the bull by the horn and apologized to Joyce and Joyce did the same and only God knows what happened that night but I know that we woke up very happy and should in case you are wondering what happened to Nancy, well she later left because Joyce showed her who was in charge of the house and her husband.

A week later, Joyce felt dizzy and Femi took her to the hospital and the doctor gave them the good news…You know the rest
