Fame Hungry (A Comic Book Script) PART 2
Here's the second (and final) part a script for a short horror comic called 'Fame Hungry'! It'll definitely give you quite the appetite...
PAGE FIVE
PANEL ONE
A large panel, a close up of Jessica’s worried face.
JESSICA - (Narration) It’s Babyface Micky Arnold, in the flesh.
And his flesh looks much more washed out than it does on the poster I’ve got on my wall at home.
He looks unwell.
PANEL TWO
A small panel showing Claire as she is injecting something into Babyface’s neck as he continues to kiss Penny.
PANEL THREE
Babyface feels the prick of the needle and has pulled away from Penny. He’s looking back at Claire.
BABYFACE - Hey! What the fuck was that?
PANEL FOUR
Penny is pulling Babyface back towards her, squashing his face between her fingers.
PENNY - Just something to help you relax.
PANEL FIVE
A wide shot showing the entire room. Jessica stands with her back to the dressing room door while Penny now stands in front of Babyface who is tied tightly to the chair. Claire is again looking in her bag.
PENNY - You see, Micky. We know all about the ticket sales. And we know all about your plans to bring the band to an end.
That makes us very sad. Really, really sad. We’d be inconsolable if Reach Around was no more.
The band means the world to us. It made us who we are today. Without you, we’re nothing.
We’re going to be together forever after this. We have to consume you.
PANEL SIX
Babyface is dribbling as he looks up at Penny, the shot he received now kicking in. His eyes are wide and frightened.
PENNY - The tranquiliser is kicking in, so you won’t be able to talk much. You certainly won’t be able to scream.
But you’ll feel this. And it’s going to hurt.
A lot.
PANEL SEVEN
Penny is kissing Babyface’s open mouth. Claire is whispering into his ear.
CLAIRE - We’re sorry.
PANEL EIGHT
A panel from the exact same angle as the previous one, this time showing Penny biting hard on Babyface’s tongue and pulling it. Babyface’s eyes are wide in pain, tears pouring down his cheeks.
BABYFACE - Hrmmmmmmmmmm!
PAGE SIX
PANEL ONE
Penny has let go of Babyface’s tongue and is looking up at Claire, blood on her lips and chin.
PENNY - I can’t get through it. It’s tough, like leather.
CLAIRE - Let me try.
PANEL TWO
Penny is turning Babyface’s head towards Claire, who is biting his limp tongue and pulling hard. Babyface is groaning is agony, unable to scream loudly or call for help.
PANEL THREE
Claire has given up and stopped biting Babyface’s tongue, unable to get through it. Her face is also soaked in his blood.
CLAIRE - Yeah, that’s weird. I thought it’d be like chewing through a steak or something.
PANEL FOUR
Another close up of Jessica’s face. She looks scared, the reality of what the girls are doing to Babyface hitting her.
JESSICA - (Narration) I can smell it already. The blood.
Don’t retch. Don’t retch. Don’t retch.
You’ve come this far. Consume him.
PANEL FIVE
Claire has taken a large pair of sharp scissors out of her bag and is holding them up as Penny pulls Babyface’s tongue out of his mouth with her fingers. The singer tries to struggle but cannot move.
PENNY - Cut it out.
JESSICA - (Narration) I don’t think I can do this.
PANEL SIX
A wide shot as Claire cuts out Babyface’s tongue, his body twitching violently and muffled screams coming from his wide open mouth. Blood is spraying all over the girls faces and arms as they slice through the tongue. Jessica watches from afar, not moving an inch.
BABYFACE - Gwrrrrrrrrr! Gwrrrrrrrrr!
JESSICA - (Narration) I don’t have the stomach for it.
PANEL SEVEN
A closer shot from the same angle, Penny is eating the tongue as Claire looks on in awe. Blood has soaked all of Babyface’s silk shirt. He is trying to get free but to no avail. Jessica is moving closer.
PENNY - Slice his throat. He’s in agony, the poor man.
JESSICA - (Narration) I thought I did. But this is just murder.
PANEL EIGHT
Claire is slicing Babyface’s throat with the sharp Scissors and a geyser of blood is spraying across the room and covering Jessica from head to toe.
PENNY - Let’s start cutting some bits off. There’s plenty to go around.
JESSICA - (Narration) And I’m not a murderer.
PAGE SEVEN
PANEL ONE
A large panel showing Reach Around on stage an hour later ready to play, looking confused at each other at the absence of their frontman. The band mostly have long hair and loosely fitted shirts, an early 70s era Black Sabbath wannabe troupe. The club is now packed with fans who are chanting the name of the singer, convinced they are about to witness his grand entrance.
CROWD - BABYFACE! BABYFACE! BABYFACE!
PANEL TWO
The roadie from earlier enters the dressing room calling for Babyface but is cut off, gasping in horror at the singer’s headless and mutilated corpse that is still tied to the chair. All three of the girls have gone.
ROADIE - Micky, what the f-!
PANEL THREE
The band look angry as they begin to play without their singer on stage. The crowd continue to chant for Babyface. Jessica stands amongst them, covered in blood. Nobody seems to notice her.
CROWD - BABYFACE! BABYFACE! BABYFACE!
PANEL FOUR
Penny and Claire, also covered in blood, jump on to the stage with the band. Penny is holding Babyface’s severed head aloft as some sort of twisted trophy. The crowd, convinced it’s part of the show, cheer and scream with delight.
CROWD - WOOOOOOOO! YEAHHHHHHHHH!
PANEL FIVE
The band stop playing but the crowd continue to cheer. This final panel shows a closer angle of the severed head, the cheers louder and louder. In the background, the band are smiling.
CROWD - WOOOOOOOO! YEAHHHHHHHHH! WOOOOOOOO!
