Melkor

While creating Ainur, Eru gives the Great Power to Melkor. He is also brother of Manwe. He also known as Morgoth. While Ainulindalë was being created Melkor tried to supress other melodies of Ainur and tried to make his music more powerful. Because of him harmony of Ainulindalë was broken. When Eru showed Arda's image to Melkor, he felt that he wants to rule all of Arda. Because of that other Valar always fight with Melkor until they throw him into the void beyond Arda.

Yavanna

While Ainulindalë was being created Yavanna had thought about plants and animals. All living things on Arda is her work. Her other name is "Queen of the Earth". Yavanna is wife of Aulë. She always wanted to fight and destroy Melkor because she knows what Melkor can do.

But her greatest work is The Two Trees of Valinor. After trees destroyed by Melkor, she created Sun and Moon from trees ashes. She also created Ents.

Mandos and Lorien

Mandos and Lorien are brothers and they called as Fëanturi (Masters of the Souls).

Mandos knows what happened and what will happen but he tells if Manwe wants to. Mandos is Manwe's spokesman. He was also Keeper of the Houses of the Dead (a.k.a. Mandos Halls the place Elves come after they died).

Lorien is known as God of Dreams and Visions.

Nienna

Nienna grieves for everything that gets hurt especially gets hurt by Melkor. When seeds of The Two Trees of Valinor planted, her tears watered trees so trees growed much more faster. Nienna's best assistant is Olorin (a.k.a. Mithrandir or Gandalf).

Orome

Orome got angry very quickly thats why he passionately wanted to fight with Melkor. He often goes Middle Earth and hunts Orcs. He known as the Hunter. The first Vala who saw Elves woke up. With the offers of Manwe, he invited them to go on a great journey to Valinor.

Tulkas

Tulkas' nickname was the Wrestler. He was the last one comes to Arda. He is the most powerful Vala, with his help in Battle of the Powers, they defeated Melkor so easily. Tulkas defeated Melkor with his bare hands. He never gets tired and while he fights, he always laughed. His enemies afraid of him because of that. Tulkas gets angry slowly but also forgets much more slowly.

Thats the end of Valar. In my next writing I will write about Melkor, his dark works, and how the war started between Valar and Melkor.
