I'm proud of myself for not feeding into the negativity as much as I used to.

I'm probably going to make a longer post about this in the future, but just really quickly wanted to say that... I'm decently proud of myself recently for not feeding into my reactionary anger so much as I used to.

I've unfortunately been treated very poorly by a lot of people these last couple months especially and at times I felt really depressed and hurt, but, I haven't resorted to trying to get even or insult anyone or block or unfriend anyone or anything like that in quite a while.

I'm not even necessarily saying it's wrong to get angry or use strong words or defend yourself or anything like that, I just feel like I got into a bad slump of doing it automatically without thinking about it as a reaction.

And that gave people power over me... Plus... When you start doing things unconsciously like that I think it can create some problems, each situation is different and we should I think generally try to be present and realize that instead of just automatically reacting the same way.

I feel so much more at peace, free and happy that I didn't feed into the negativity and lack of empathy in regard too how I feel I was treated. :)

So many people acted nice and then ignored me or ditched me or I was insulted and attacked me for having a different opinion or simply questioning what others believe..

They said and did some pretty mean and hurtful things, and... I just looked past it and kept moving towards my own goals and dreams and didn't let it bother me too much. <3

I feel like I've reached a new level of awareness, and I'm sure at some point someone will anger me so much I lose control and say mean things or something like that, but for now... I feel like people can say or do all kinds of nasty or uncaring things to me and I'm going to just shrug it off for the most part and not be too bothered by it.

I guess we'll see how well I do long term, but so far this is seriously such an awesome feeling to feel like people can treat me so badly and I'm not a slave to reacting angrily anymore and I can just sort of shake it off and not feed into it. People have less power over me now, and I like that. 👽

Great post. Attaining a higher consciousness requires hard work and difficult decisions. At times, we must release things that we were, at one time, certain, aligned with our upward trek. It seems that life is a never-ending cycle of valuations and we must embrace this if we are to achieve our highest self.

Thanks! Glad to hear you appreciated it. I agree that attaining a higher consciousness does require hard work and difficult decisions. And yes, I also agree about what you said in regard to releasing who we were. I've had to let go of a lot of ideas I held about myself over time, that's been critical. Hmmm... I suppose you're right that life is a never ending cycle of valuations... Interesting way to put it. Going to have to think on that m ore, thank you for sharing your thoughts!

It is so freeing to be indifferent to the things you cannot control, and focus only on driving forward with virtue. I hope your awareness continues to grow! We are always works in progress :)

I agree to some extent in regard to it being freeing to be indifferent to things we can't control. I mean, if we can't do anything about it why get so stressed? Though, there still are some cases where I think it's proper and human to get upset even if there's nothing we can really do about it. But yeah, I generally agree.. I think most of the time it's good to just let go like that. And yes... Always works in progress. Agreed.
Thanks for the nice sentiments at the end there and for sharing some of your thoughts! I appreciate what you had to say. Cheers. :)

Attaining higher awareness or consciousness is a wonderful thing.
Just ignore people who are rude, or just walk away from them. Don't let them get to you. No need to react to them. Just go your blissful way.

I agree! Well said. Part of me in my past felt it was my duty to resist or push back so it would discourage people from treating others like that in the future, however... It's exhausting. Sometimes it is better to just conserve your energy and focus it in other areas that may be much more productive. :) Thanks for sharing some of your thoughts friend!

You are welcome. 😊

It sounds like you have been having a pretty tough time lately. I'm sorry to hear that. It's a shame that people are treating you badly. It sounds like you have a lot of strength and courage as well that keeps you going. You are obviously a very strong minded or perhaps wise individual if you're able to remain strong despite such challenges.

To some degree yes. but not nearly as tough because my attitude about it has been a lot better. :) Thanks for your empathy though I appreciate that. And yes, it is a shame so many people treat each other badly in this world. I appreciate the nice words and positive energy/encouragement. You seem like a good soul man. I appreciate you.

Saw your comments in another thread from a guy who was upset about not understanding curation rewards and thought he was owed more steem (funny guy).

Negative people are there to test us, we can't change them, we can change ourselves though and we are in control of our actions and behaviours/thoughts so you're doing the right thing in blocking out the negative. Takes time but with experience, you'll find things that work for you.

STEEM on :)

Oh, I think I know which thread/guy you're talking about. The starworld guy right? Yeah, some people seem like they have things figured out and don't really accept alternative information cause they have their mind made up and it seemed like that was the case with him.

I like the way you look at it in regard to negative people being there to test us, I'm not sure if that's the case literally but I do feel like it is sort of a test sometimes and that is to me a fun way to look at it because I enjoy tests and riddles and challenges and things like that. :)

I like the rest of what you said there as well! That's some good advice and I thank you for sharing some of your thoughts!
