Question 26: Why is it important to be genuine?steemCreated with Sketch.

Being genuine... that is not important; that is mandatory. Of course, I can't think of anyone who doesn't have secrets they don't want to share with the world and, on its surface, it makes everyone on Earth in-genuine. We're all inherently aware of this, so it makes "genuineness" a subjective quality or a halfhearted goodwill because it seems unnecessary--detrimental, in fact--for self-preservation. If self-preservation (i.e., survival of the fittest) wasn't the drive of being secretive and private, there would be far less lying and stealing from one another, and less desire to own anything as well.

Making more people genuine wouldn't be a cure-all, of course, but it is a root cause of a lot of misfortune over many millennia.

And actually, even while saying this, so many people need to hide something that it must seem that attempting to be genuine is the true mask. However, I suspect the depth of one's personal mask subsequently makes one suspect others' masks more frequently. And critically. When one is worried about losing something, it tends to occupy a large chunk of their mental composition. In other words, you start seeing it everywhere because its always on your mind in some way. Perhaps a sweet irony, but love falls dead center into this category if you're afraid of it being taken or lost. This said, remember that even though it is important to be genuine, it is important to recognize why one would be disingenuous as well. In the end it is for life. Survival. Keeping yourself alive is a form of love, too.

Anyway, that's my assessment of why it's important to be genuine, and I'm sure it'll develop even further with time.
