lagos observer was established on the 4th of february 1882, by blackall j. benjamin. it was one of the most successful in 19th century. it distinguished itself in poliics and intellectual aggression.
blackall j.b. hired the service of df.n.t king and robert cambell as editorial planners. the death of the two in 1884 caused a major setback for the newspaper. it went out of cirulation in 1890.
the newspaper happen to be one of the best newspaper in nigeria becaues it was very esay and understandable for people read and understand.
