portrait of poverty in the Philippines
The Muslims who used to be the majority before the arrival of the colonizing nations, now become minorities and marginalized. They are oppressed in the southern Philippines.
The Philippines is a secular country, with the lifestyles of most of its people who are a hundred percent in the US lifestyle, although Filipino Christians continue to use Spanish names.
A city that is expected to become an Islamic City
The Philippines is a cluster of Malay clump islands, which have a variety of regional languages including Mindanao and Tagalog (Philippine National Language), although the Philippine languages are numerous but the language differences are not so much like the local language of Indonesia, it seems that Filipinos know what spoken by other Filipinos from different regions and different languages.
Before the arrival of the Spanish in 1565, the Philippines was a Muslim country with a Muslim population of 98% and entered the Sultanate of Brunei.
The capital of the Philippines, Amanilah is a city named from the Arabic Fi Amannillah (under the protection of Allah Swt), after being controlled by Spain Amanlah renamed Manila.
One portrait of poverty in the city of Manila
At that time the Filipino Muslims determined to make the city of Amanillah (Manila) became the largest Islamic city of Southeast Asia. They have also applied Islamic Sharia for centuries under the influence of the Islamic Khilafah State in the Middle East. The work of most Filipino Muslims was mostly traders, farmers and fishermen.
Poverty seems to be a complicated problem faced by all developed countries. One of the regions of the world that is still dominated by developing countries is the Asia Pacific region.
Predicate as a developing country is the Philippines. Based on data reported by the Philippine Social Service, mentioning that those who live below the poverty line are 40%. For the capital of the Philippines, Manila alone, the number of poor people reached 12 million people.
It is a very ironic sight, beyond the tall buildings, the complete infrastructure, the sparkling lights at night in Bandar Manila, there is still a lot of unattended Filipino lives.
The Philippine kingdom seems to be trying not to know what the people are up to. Just imagine, the poor people who are in front of the Kingdom Building is not neglected, especially poor people who are located far from the eyelids.
Because life must be continued, the poor living in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Bandar Manila's luxuries strive to make a place just to shelter from the heat of the sun, and the cold of night.
Places that serve as the placement is a public graveyard area. So, do not be overwhelmed when visiting Manila, many public graveyards are decorated in such a way to be a placement for the poor. May the Philippine kingdom, open the eyes of his heart, and be sensitive to the real problem.
