The Show Kicked off with Danial Bryan coming out to introduce the New GM of 205 live.

I found this strange because Drake Maverick came out with Danial Brian so there was no Big reveal no anticipation he was there looking like Pee-wee Herman and one of those creepy ventriloquist dummies had, had a love child.

but hey who am I to judge he may have cocked up or they may have played it like that who know's and who really cares it was clear enough.

If you don't know who Drake Maverick is here is a quick bio

Trained By James Storm and Chris Gilbert and Don Charles over in England he held Several titles like British welterweight Bantamweight.

He started getting TV Notoriety when he was in the TNA version of tough enough called Bootcamp if my memory serves me correctly and Won the show to win a contract with TNA where he became the X Division Championship.

Now he is the 205 Live GM after signing with WWE in October 2017. I believe he got injured in training so I guess WWE give him the GM Role while he recuperates.

So there you have it now you have a brief outline who he is.

So his first order of business was to announce a 16 man tournament for the Newly departed Cruiserweight Championship after the title was made Vacated after Enzo Amore's Release Last week.

The tournament final will be contested at WrestleMania.

But the First 2 first round matches will be on the show This week

Gran Metalik vs Cedrick Alexander

and

TJP Vs Tyler Bates

The way they are selling this it sounds like The cruiserweights are going to be on the main Mania show rather than the Kick off show as they normally are.

So they Show kicks off with Alexander vs Metalik

Now Alexander was meant to have a title match at Rumble vs Enzo Amore but obviously, this match was canceled when Enzo was released.

Alexander Advances to the next Round. I expect Alexander will make it to the final due to previous canceled Match so My prediction is this tournament is to see who will be facing Alexander at Mania for the Cruiserweight Title

First thoughts of this match were Tyler Bates Ring gear he was wearing white boots and blue trunks where on certain points in the match looked like he was just wearing his underpants and sports socks, especially with him not wearing any knee or arm pads.

That being said it was a pretty exciting match

TJP picks up the win with a tug of the pants on Bates advancing TJP to the next round.
