Worship is an act of submission and should not be based on fear or coassion .

When God created Adam he also added other two symbolic trees that were to determine the fate of Adam through self will.

The tree of knowledge that opened Adam eyes to the knowledge of good and evil but also the tree of life that was to give Adam eternal life.

God specifically asked Adam not eat from the tree of knowledge but from any other tree from the garden including the tree of life.

God had warned Adam that he would surely die if he part took from the tree of knowledge but Adam willingly choose not heed warning from his creator.

See, worship was a simple act of obedience by Adam he had multiple choices through self-will but still choose the wrong one.

Thus God had to withdraw his favour from him.
