A decentralized curation marketplace is a model that allows teams to collaborate more effectively and profit from the value they create together around a common goal.

In the first article, we introduced that Wormhole3 allows every topic/content/meme/idea/goal of the Internet to be easily synced to the chain and have its own Web3 media channel (distinguished by hashtags).

Curation

Furthermore, we believe that each topic/content/meme/idea/goal can have an associated token that curates the information within it.

Using smart contracts, any Web3 project party/DAO/community can mint valuable tokens according to agreed rules without a centralized third party. In other words, the value accumulation of tokens is permissionless, and any particular entity does not control the value creation process of tokens.

It is a new organizational model and way of allowing people to collaborate around a common goal without constraints.

Essentially, we allow the creation of global, token-based “memes”. We will be able to mint tokens for content, sub-reddits, hashtags, crowds, memes, and new organizations.

Curation Protocols

The core functional components of the decentralized curation protocol include:

Curation Example

Suppose Bankless DAO has an associated curated marketplace.

Its community members can collaborate around Bankless DAO’s Twitter Space curation and mint tokens.

A simple curation event is as follows:

Before a Twitter Space event begins, the curator (a) retweets the Twitter Space event, writes a tweet with #bankless #iweb3, and publishes it.

Retweeted tweets are supported by a1, a2, etc. who have liked, retweeted, or commented on it respectively.

The curation protocol can calculate the contribution of the curator (a) based on the Twitter NFT (representing their Twitter influence) held by the curator (a), likers (a1, a2, etc.) and the curation algorithm, and automatically Distribute token rewards.

This example doesn’t just apply to curating before Twitter Space begins, but ongoing interactions, hashtags, sub-reddits, memes, etc. in Twitter Space can similarly unfold.

Twitter NFT

Twitter has a large number of identity and social data, and Twitter NFT is Wormhole3’s first step in building a reputation for Twitter users in the Web3 world.

Wormhole3 analyzes the user’s Twitter account activity by using a machine learning algorithm, and then calculates a score, which is weighted with the user’s following number to become the attribute value of Twitter NFT.

Resist Sybil Attack

Wormhole 3 connects with Twitter API to parse over a thousand features, and analyze accounts’ profiles, friends, social graphs, activity patterns, and languages and sentiments. By cooperating with multiple Web3 projects, Wormhole3 can incorporate off-chain data, on-chain data, and NFTs into the system.

From this data, we identify bots as much as possible and give reputation credit. This makes Twitter NFTs naturally capable of identifying bots and resisting Sybil attacks. DAOs/projects/communities can also airdrop their cryptocurrencies to Twitter users according to Twitter NFT and other conditions
