Dying Forest

Famous for being the gathering place of witches, the Brocken is one of the most unknown yet beautiful places in Germany. Sadly, due to repeated years with extensive summer drought, the trees lost their ability to fight of bugs. Entire landscapes were dying.

Luckily, the forests are recovering and new trees are growing. This is just another example how global warming impacts us and nature through mechanisms we have not even thought of yet.
