The scarab today and his meaning in ancient Egypt

The scarab is a beetle, in Egyptian mythology, it was described as the sun rolling across the sky, so it was the most important form of amulet in ancient Egypt.

The scarab is an Egyptian symbol of the sun, the resurrection of the dead, it signified vitality and protected them from spells, so the scarab was worn around the neck on a string or around the finger wrapped in metal wire.

When mummifying, the Egyptians placed where the heart used to be, a heart made of ceramics, stone or a sacred scarab amulet or a scarab figurine, for the purpose of having a symbol of immortality present in the body of the deceased.

The scarab, like the sun, travels across the sky, radiating light and heat and creating the conditions for the renewal of life in all that exists.

Today a scarab landed on the curtain, I photographed it for today’s post and wrote a few interesting things about it.
