The female CCTV host Xiao Xiaolin, admired for her beauty and journalistic career, has died from cancer in the United States

According to CCTV news staff, well-known program host, Xiao Xiaolin, has died from cancer, at the age of 55. Insiders revealed that Xiao Xiaolin died of rectal cancer two weeks ago at her son's home in the United States. In February of this year, she participated in the "Society and France" channel annual meeting, where she gave her retirement speech.

　　She was born in Changsha, Hunan and graduated from the Beijing Broadcasting Institute. After graduation she went back to Changsha for radio work, despite the hard working conditions at the time, but she did not give up there. Changsha TV station was established and she became part of the first group of Changsha TV announcers. After the transfer to the Central Television, she presided over the "thinking and observation" segment, and also presided over the "news network" section.  Most notably though she was recognized for her signature segment, "iron surface beauty", a phrase which soon spread like wildfire in China.  She also presided over the "focus interview", "half of the sky", "social latitude and longitude.
