Belgium and Japan are scheduled to play their World Cup round of 16 playoff match on 7/2/18 at 2:00pm EST. Belgium had no real problems winning all 3 games in Group G with a +7 goal differential but they did not have to face a full strength England team in their last game because both sides had already qualified for the round of 16. Japan finished 2nd in Group H by winning 2-1 over Colombia in their first game then drawing versus Senegal and losing 0-1 to a hungry Poland team in their last match. Japan advanced from the group over Senegal with less disciplinary cards on a fair play tiebreaker but they may need to show off all their slide tackles and test the referee's patience playing a Belgium team that can outpace it's competition.
