Semifinal World Cup 2018: Review England VS Croatia, I WAS VERY WRONG!!!

Before the semifinal, I made a prediction that England won by 2-1. OH BOY I WAS REALLY WRONG.

Croatia won the game BY 2-1. So it was the opposite of my prediction. Croatia showed the world that they have solid and great team.  Although, England scored the first goal in just 5 minutes in the first half. But when second half started, Croatia push the pedal to the max. They played an attacking football that reminded me of Dutch Total Football and Spanish Tiki Taka combine. The short passes, the dangerous crosses, the interchangeable position between all the Croatian players were a beautiful sight to me. 

On the other hand England after the Croatia settle the score to 1-1, suddenly played like a retard. Harry Kane and Sterling became so useless when attacking the Croatian until Gareth Southgate had to replace Sterling with more useless Rashford. Modric and team kept the great pressure on England defense even push England to make few stupid back passes to Pickford (actually he was the great goalkeeper) that almost created a great chance to score for Mandzukic and Perisic. 

England hope was shattered in 109' minutes of Extra Time, when Mandzukic got a wild ball right in front of the Pickford, Mandzukic made the best of it and kicked the ball right to the net. Pickford couldn't save it and the rest is history. For the first time in the history of World Cup, Croatia enters the final of the World Cup. The 2018 squad of Croatia already prove themselves as a legend like 1998 squad. In final, they will face France which also has strong squad. This will be exciting match, and now for sure I cannot predict the football again.
