America is angry .. How did the Russians rate their leader's summit with Trump?
MOSCOW - Russian officials and parliamentarians hailed what they saw as a success for President Vladimir Putin at a summit in Helsinki with his US counterpart Donald Trump, who in Washington faced fierce criticism and accusations of weakness and even treachery for his acquittal of Russia from intervening in the last US presidential election.
Although the summit did not produce tangible immediate results in terms of improving bilateral relations or agreement on issues of external dispute, many Russian politicians and experts believe that Putin has succeeded in fending off accusations against Russia from US circles to intervene in the last presidential election, helped by the President An American who insists on denying Russian intervention in those elections.
