America is strengthening its nuclear triad and turning its eyes on Russia
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States will strengthen its nuclear capabilities for concern over Russia's growing nuclear weapons, a nuclear policy document said on Monday. The new strategy will ensure Russia recognizes that any use of nuclear weapons, however limited, is unacceptable, and the new strategy will focus on the development of the nuclear trinity, the document, known as the "Nuclear Review," said yesterday.
Deputy Defense Secretary Patrick Chanahan said the review focused on the development of the so-called nuclear triad, strategic bombers, ballistic missiles and nuclear submarines.
