BIOMASS AND ITS PRIVILEGES

in #world5 years ago (edited)

Biomass is all organic matter of plant or animal origin used in energy production.

It is obtained by decomposing a variety of renewable resources such as plants, wood, agricultural waste, food scraps, droppings and even waste.

In my country (Brazil), biomass production is large scale, as there are extensive arable areas and favorable weather conditions throughout the year.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

As a renewable energy source, through appropriate human intervention, biomass is a viable alternative to the replacement of fossil fuels and pollutants such as oil and coal.
In summary, its advantages include:

-Alternative renewable energy;
-Low cost;
-Low emission of polluting gases;
-Produced from a wide variety of materials.

But not all flowers are disadvantages.
Among the main disadvantages of biomass we can mention:

Reduced efficiency;
Liquid biofuels can emit sulfur and contribute to acid rain phenomenon
May result in environmental impacts on forests;
High financial cost of equipment;
Biomass burning is related to increased cases of respiratory diseases;
Difficulty storing solid biomass.
