List of 23 countries that have already qualified for the 2018 World Cup
Contestants World Cup 2018 back increased. After undergoing a match in qualifying on Wednesday (11/10/2017) early morning local time, finally six countries managed to ensure a place in the four-year soccer tournament.
This time it was Portugal, France, Uruguay, Argentina, Colombia and Panama who were eligible to hold a party. In their respective zones, they succeeded in achieving a positive result to secure the tickets that led to the 2018 World Cup Russia.
In the qualifying group A zone of Europe, France managed to silence Belarus with a score of 2-1. This victory makes Les Blues comfortable at the top of the standings with the acquisition of 23 points. They are four points ahead of Sweden who qualify for the playoffs.
Sweden itself is actually quite lucky because it can still keep the chances of appearing in the World Cup. In the standings board, their points are equated by the Netherlands. Even Sweden surrendered 0-2 from the De Oranje squad in the last match of Group A qualifying. However Sweden are still entitled to continue their pace into the playoff phase, as they are noted to be superior in terms of goal productivity
Similar conditions are also seen on board Group B group Europe. Portugal and Switzerland both collected 27 points after securing nine wins from 10 games. But Portugal is more entitled to top the standings and qualify automatically. Because they are able to collect 32 goals, more than Switzerland who can only scored 23 goals.
Automated line to Russia also obtained Uruguay, Argentina and Colombia. In the South American qualifying zone, all three successfully position themselves in the order of the top four.
After silencing Bolivia 4-2, Uruguay came in second with 31 points. While Argentina managed to win 3-1 over Ecuador and the results raised their position to rank three with 28 points achievement. As for Colombia, a 1-1 draw with Peru put them in position four standings with a notch 27 points.
In the CONCACAF zone, Panama scored history after defeating Costa Rica 2-1. For them, this became a prime participation on stage as big as the World Cup.
