Stop thinking about the results and put in the work

Since I started working on Steemit I did my best to focus all my attention on creating content and publishing as many articles as possible, trying to ignore the results I get. It worked until now and one thing I can say is that the less you focus on your results, the more you'll get.

The reasoning behind this is pretty simple - if you focus on the results all the time and you don't see what you want to see, you may lose part of your motivation and your work may have to suffer. However, if you focus only on creating content not caring about the results you get, it will be easier for you to get motivated by the development of your work rather than the rewards you get.

For example, when I first started publishing on Steemit I did my best to publish at least three times a day. I worked on short articles and I got some rewards for them. However, I didn't care that much about the rewards and I just focused on creating longer and better articles and offer more value to the reader.

Doing that allowed me to learn how to write better and faster, to publish articles that have more than 500 - 1000 words (even tho I'm still a beginner in writing) and form a community around my content that grows every single day.

While all that is amazing, looking at the rewards I get every single day can affect my motivation and make me wish I'd do more. While I made a lot of money in the past months (more than I expected), I'm still not getting what others get, people with a lot of articles and huge amounts of followers that make more than $100 per post.

I'm not saying I'm not grateful for what I get right now, but focusing on rewards and comparing myself with those people would affect me, make me lose my motivation and ignore my work. That can happen to all of you if you spend 90% of your time focusing on the results instead of the content.

However, because I focused my attention on the content and because I managed to make more and more progress in time, I got to a point where I'm happy with the results I make and with the content I create. I want to make more progress and get more rewards, of course, but I focus all my attention on my work instead of the results.

I believe this is something you should do as well. I mentioned several times in past articles how the content on this website is worse and worse because of all the people who join thinking they can make money by posting images of themselves and steal articles of other people.

That's why focusing on your work and nothing else will bring you a lot of benefits. Once people realize you care about what you do and once you start creating high quality content, the rewards you so much want will come anyway, even if you don't care about them anymore.

So, next time you write an article on this website, instead of thinking about how much money you'll make and how many upvotes you'll get, try to think about how to write something amazing and how to offer as much value as possible to the user. Once you start doing that, the money and the upvotes will come as well.

Thank you very much! :)

upvote and following you now!!:))

good
follow my channel vote and comments

I also thought that way. Then I quickly realized that it's not about the quantity also, it's about the quality. Steemit needs quality content. Otherwise the platform would be a junkyard.

Exactly! Thanks for the comment! :)
