Everything helps if you know where to look for inspiration. One simple phrase from a video game or a movie can give you an idea for a 1000 words article. Games are just one of the things I really like, but anything works, running included (besides, that helps your brain work better and keeps you healthy, so you're getting more out of running than I get out of gaming :D).

It's an honor to find out @eveuncovered resteemed my article :) I'm still a gamer as much as I can, but since I discovered writing and working on the Internet creating content, I've been kinda obsessed with it. I'm still trying to find a way to do both and feel good about not investing more time into each activity. Too bad humans need sleep sometimes.

I've played some board games when I was young too, they were really fun if you had the right people with you. Hopefully I'll be able to play something similar in the future again, it's been ages since I did it :)
