My articles do not represent an absolute opinion that never changes

This article is more of a reminder, both for the people reading my posts, and for those writing on their own profile, who worry a bit about writing about the same topics they wrote about in the past, having now a different opinion about specific things.

I'm gonna say it here, right away, then I'm gonna comment on it throughout the article: what I, or we, write in the blog posts that we post today, or tomorrow, might be different from what we'll post about the same topics or subjects even 6 months from today.

People's opinions and understanding of things changes all the time. We never (hopefully) retain our opinions over certain topics for ever. That would go against the very definition of progress.

As we age, and as we read and learn more, we begin to see certain things in different ways. We might love and support the crypto world today, but we might be against it, let's say, 5 years from now. Maybe then we'll get to the conclusion that there's too much energy consumption in the crypto world and it's not worth destroying the planet over it. Or maybe we'll learn more about this topic and get to the conclusion that the energy used by cryptocurrencies is so little that it's insignificant.

The same can apply for a multitude of other things. We might love a certain type of movies, or a certain type of books, and hate them in a few years, for different reasons. We might support certain ideologies today, and be against them 5 years from now. We might like certain people, and openly talk about how we support their ideas, and then hate those people with a passion in the near future.

Things change. They are bound to do so. We cannot expect ourselves to think in the same way that we are doing today. We definitely should hope that our mentality changes, for the better, in the future. Changing our opinions is nothing but a consequence of progress when it comes to our knowledge and / or understanding.

Of course, things can change for the worse as well. Maybe we'll have opinions that are wrong in the future about important things. Or maybe we'll abandon learning and improving, and we'll begin hating everything that is new.

The idea of this article is to remind both you, the reader, and the writer, that opinions change. The opinions we might share in a few years might be completely different than the opinions we have today about the same topics.

Years ago I was really supportive of daily writing. Today, not so much, because in time I understood that writing on a daily basis can have negative impacts on your content. Years ago I was really focused on my passion and my interests, disregarding money and trying not to chase it. Today I understand that money is a very important part of our life, whether we like it or not, and that focusing on it is just as important as our passion for a specific activity.

A lot of things changed about me in the last 4 years since I started writing and that's a good sign. It means I'm making an effort to improve, to change for the better, and to learn more about everything. It means I'm willing to challenge my old views and try to gain new perspectives.

And a lot of writers do the same.

Therefore, be aware that our current articles (or mine at least) do not represent an absolute truth that we believe now, and forever. Our (or my) current articles represent our current opinions and knowledge on certain subjects. Those opinions are subject to change, for the better or for the worse.

I really wanted to get this message across because sometimes I feel as if writing about a topic I approached in the past, but having different opinions that then, makes me look a bit hypocritical and false, because for a while I felt like I was supposed to have the same opinions as then.

I'm not supposed to. That's the point. Progress has to be made, and with it, opinions about different topics might change.
