‘Stop killing women’ — a new campaign against domestic violence in Angola || world trend ||

in #womensecuriy6 years ago

These are hard days. Really, for us women are difficult and painful for many days because we still live in a context where in one way or another, all types of violence against us have always been excused. And in recent days, in particular, it was even more painful to deal with the reactions that came after the case of Carolina ...

Violence against women is real, it really is. This is nothing in the head of the feminists, it is not an invention or an empty speech: it is real! Carolina, unfortunately, only adds to the figures, there were many other issues in front of people who came to the attention of the people and there are thousands of other cases which do not come to the attention of the people. This is a problem which is in front of our eyes, at the door. And this is a problem that suppresses the relationship between one or the other couple - this is a structural problem.

There is a structure that directs women to the roles of subordination and accuses them of which turns them into all possible targets of violence and at all levels. This structure of moral domination which hangs over us and which denies the existence of many - and it is not invisible - it does this: it distorts and destroys the lives of women and KILLS!

We, as individual women, and as a collective, will keep shouting 'stop killing us' and 'hurt ours'.

We want legislation that protects us and actually applies, we want public policies that honor our humanity, debate and reach institutions. We want a society where we are not afraid of going on the road! We will continue demanding for a society where we have the freedom to feel, feel, walk and think about how we want it.

We will continue to demand such a society, where we can live in security.images (4).jpeg
