COLOUR ME: CELEBRATING WOMEN’S DAY WITH GOD’S GRACE
March 8,2018: The world was celebrating one occasion “WOMEN’S DAY”
We did of course celebrated it a little bit late but in a different way.
March 10,2018: THE 5th COLOUR ME LADIES CONFERENCE (LOVED)
The conference started at 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. We were so excited and at the same time we wanted to sit in front so as early as 7:00 a.m we are already there in the venue.
The experience we had was really enjoyable and we went home with a lot and of lessons that we know we will never forget. We are also so blessed to see Ms. Rica Peralejo Bonifacio, Ms. Coney Reyes and Ms. Bettinna Carlos. They are a living testimony of God’s Grace towards women.
Ms. Coney Reyes’s testimony alsmost made me cry. The challenges she experienced when she was young was hard for her but she was too glad to found God in between the crisis. In her testimony I learned that God will grant the desire of our hearts but not the desire we want for ourselves instead it is a desire that God wants for us. A good and meaningful desire. The session was never so boring Coney Reyes was witty, smart, funny and she is so faithful with God.
The second session made me 😭 cry. I can still remember the words of Miss Rica as she said, “There was a death in my womb.” If you heard the news of her being pregnant I think you also knew that she lost her second child in 2016 and lost another child in 2017. She loves children but the two happenings in her life made her faith stronger since she new that God has a purpose for doing it to her. She cried when she shared her story to us and we felt the pain that she experience during that time.
After Miss Rica’s session we had a lunch break. Good food and Good companion what should I asked for that day.
We had a break out session and we decided to be in the BALANCING ACT: EMBRACING THE MANY ROLES OF A WOMAN by Miss Rica Peralejo Bonifacio.
Let me share the lessons that we learned during the session.
THE WORD, THE WOMAN and HER WORK
It is fun to be a woman. True, we got a lot of issues but we are valuable in the eyes of God.
THE WORD
Who is the very first woman? As a christian all know that it was Eve but the question is “What is so special about her?”
“Then the Lord God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him." Now out of the ground the Lord God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him. So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.”

If we will go back to the story of creation would God always say every time he created something?
“AND HE SAW IT AND IT WAS GOOD”
Then he saw something that is not good. “It is not good that the man should be alone.”
So, it is not good for a man without a woman. Without a woman in a certain home, feels empty.
Women completes the world. God created everything and the woman was the finale.
THE WOMAN
“ . . .I will make him a helper fit for him.”
Every woman has a different purpose and we have a different role. Like me, I am a student, daughter, sister, friend, cousin, girlfriend, a teacher and a bestfriend. But we are mold and designed to be a helper.God’s purpose for us is to be a helper to help the man specifically.
So women are part of a team.
HER WORK
“ So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.”
When God was about to create a woman God didn’t ask Adam on how to create it or ask about a physical appearance of a woman. It is indeed a moment between God and the woman.
As a woman we got a lot of issues and there times that we ask ourself of who I am, what is our purpose and etc. Every woman are different in a physical and emotional characteristic but we are completely the same, we might doesn’t have the same role because we are wired differently.
There are times that we ask other people for who we are. The truth is we cannot ask it from just anybody. The world has a lot of lies to offer, in order to fit with it we need to also be worldly but it is not the purpose of God. If we feel like we don’t already understand what is going on in ourself then we better ask God.
God was our designer he mould us and he designed us so whenever we ask ourself of who we are. You ask him because he is the only one who can answer us.
The only one who can define us is the Lord. Women are solely defined by God.
