Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has detained a man in Madaripur for allegedly trying to sell his wife to brothels. He alleged that he had sold his wife earlier in a brothel in the Indian state of Bihar. This time he was going to do the same.

The name of the accused is Nikhil Bepari (33). He was arrested on Friday morning from a bus stand in Kalkini upazila of Madaripur. RAB-8 summoned a press conference on Friday about his detention.
It was told at the press conference held at the Madaripur camp in RAB-8, that the girl of Kalkini (23) got married with Nikhil Bepari of Gournadi upazila in Barisal eight years ago. After a long time, living in India, he sold his wife to a local broker in the brothel of Bihar in India for 80 thousand rupees. After that, the pornographic video of the girl was forced to be taken. Six months ago, the young woman escaped from Bihar and moved to her husband's house in Bangladesh.Then he tried to bring his wife back to India, fearing publication of various temptations and holding pornographic video. But after understanding the girl, inform the RAB secretly. ' The complainant said, "My husband is intoxicated. One year ago, he told me to stay in India and sell him to a brothel. I ran away from her husband's house. The husband later apologized to me and apologized to me. But he did not try to sell me the same way in the year.

RAB-8 Madaripur Acting Company Commander Md. Tajul Islam said, "We have detained a woman trafficker. The detained accused wanted to sell his wife and a child in India. We got an audio record in this regard. The person detained in the interrogation acknowledged his offense
