RE: Spotted A Gold Digger In The Wild!
It is the least I can do. I knew a guy who moved to Seattle and racked up $10,000 worth of credit card debt on Tinder dates ...... he limped back to Tucson 40 pounds heavier and broke as a joke. He still hasn't learned. He should be following these case studies and taking notes!
TBH, he should just delete Tinder. If a guy thinks that they're going to find the love of their life on a casual hookup app, they're going to be wrong 99% of the time. If he's just looking for casual sex, go find a hooker and the financial arrangement will be straightforward from the get go. Men complaining about the number of gold diggers on Tinder is like women complaining about the number of cheaters only looking for side pieces/men who aren't interested in long-term relationships on Tinder.
If your buddy wants to find someone who is in it for the long term instead of a free dinner, tell him to join the Appalachian Mountain Club (or the local equivalent) or a church group or a community theater group or take a class at the local community college. Go on a hike for a first date instead of going to the most expensive steakhouse in town. Not only will he immediately have something in common with all the women in the group, he'll have a chance to judge their character before he's dropped a couple grand on them.
You have to put a little more effort in than swiping left or right and throwing down a credit card if you want good results.
It is almost pointless to really reply to the comment because you are so far out of touch on the subject. Almost always when someone says that any app like Tinder, Bumble, Coffee Meets Bagel, OK Cupid, Plenty of Fish is just a hook up app........ almost 100% of the time they have never been on them.
Do people "hook up" from them..... yeah that happens EVERYWHERE
The reality is a large majority of people are meeting from an online mechanism. That makes sense. That is efficient.
Join a church group? No one over here is trying to date 80 year old women.
Take a class at a local community college? So now I'm paying money to take a random class when I already have degrees just in the hopes of talking to a girl who may or may not be single and I have to do homework? Psssshhhh No thanks
99.5% of girls aren't going to go on a hike for the first date because they have a fear in the back of their mind that they are going to get murdered. 2nd date on that if a guy plays his cards right.
Next thing you will be telling me is to use a travel agent to book flights and a full service broker to trade stocks.
You didn't need to reply, then.
