"Feminist" shouldn't be an insult but some feminists (or some of those calling themselves feminists) have given feminism a bad name. There are many different brands of feminism and in my view not all of them are positive (marxist feminism for example). Unfortunately, as with most things, the bad examples draw the most attention.
