It's a really beautiful poem and I like the fact that you are standing up for what you believe in. But you see this is my opinion. Women are not the the only people who have social challenges. Yes society scorns at them and makes it difficult for them. But the truth is just as society lashes at them, it also lashes at us all too. Both male and female have challenges they have to face. As a man in this current era I am in the wrong to hit a woman. Society both Nigerian and otherwise do not condone acts of domestic abuse on women by men but the turns a blind eye when a man happens to be the victim and the perpetrator is a woman. In today's society there are many movements seeking women empowerment but no seeks to empower the man or the male child.. There are various organizations that fight for women rights but the rights of a man are not considered. The truth I think, is this. Men are not the problem and the fact that women think men are more entitled in modern day society is wrong because a woman can achieve anything she desires and whether society backs her not should not determine how far she goes in life...
