How to Setup a Witness Node on a Linux Ubuntu Virtual Machine/VPS for free (Tutorial Part 1)

So it seems Witness's earn $100's if not $1000's weekly, let's become one.

First you must deploy a VPS, i suggest you try https://vultr.com as you could pay using Bitcoin and they give $5 of free credit, which will come in handy while we figure out how to deploy the system.

Once you have signed up to vultr, we setup a new VPS with Ubuntu 16.04, Located in Amsterdam and server size of 90gb SSD.

Don't worry about being charged too much, it's $40 per month and you pay hourly. So if this doesn't work out we can just destroy the server before our free $5 credit has been depleted.

So once you have set up your server, download putty from http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html.

I am writing up part 2 (a longer version) of this tutorial as we speak with in depth detail and picture and will post if there is interest.

I will go over how to pay for your server using the steem earned (converting it to Bitcoin too).
