Should Snax BP "sweden" become a "Steemit Witness" ?
We were thinking for more than a year, to become a Steemit Witness. But we never did it, as we never had financial muscles to buy enough resources to be effective and to have a voice in Steemit. Moreover, this is a fact that in Steemit Whales rule this world. And we do not know any whale in Steemit.
We are supported by global decentralized community. We also support & strive for Decentralized Community-backed Blocks Production, interconnecting Blockchains and Global Communities.
Now after joining Snax as a BP with ID sweden, we are re-thinking about to run Steemit Witness nodes, probably with ID @corenet

Anyway, I think you should go ahead for becoming a Steemit Witness. Better to try it. You can stop it at any time... :)

It is a natural move for Snax BPs to become Steemit witness. It may help further to deploy integrated Snax/EOSIO based Smart Contract based Social Media DApps.. Best of both blockchain systems can be utilized by future innovative DApps.
Well the realistic answer is you may find it hard to even reach the break even point where producer rewards are more than server costs to run a witness. I wish I could say that witness voting in Steem would reward such things as your team's obvious experience and suitability for the role, but the reality is witness voting is nearly 100% political and mostly dominated by bid bot delegators / owners.
That being said, if you can afford the small out of pocket cost to run a witness server, I would love to see you guys try it. Good luck!
Yes, it is not easy to reach the break even point. Same goes for most Blocks Production cases (if not all).
Thanks for guidance @carlgnash 🙏 - Of course, that is why we have not yet became witness. But it feels that we must try for it. Let's see how it goes (if we finally do it).
