I'm pleased to announce the monthly Top 20 Steem Witness Forum. Every Saturday at 11am EST (1500 UTC) I host a Top 20 Steem Witness Forum. We generally spend the first 30 min or so talking with @andrarchy who gives us some ideas of what he's working on as Director of Content for Steemit inc. After that the Witnesses will discuss what they are working on and think is important to consider for the block.
This is a fairly open discussion. I'm not trying to manage the other witnesses so much as give everyone a platform to talk about develops as they are happening and some things that should be considered. I'll ask open ended questions as prompts for the Witnesses to describe what they think is important.
@andrarchy has asked people to ask some questions in advance that the community is interested in. He's also requested that you don't simply ask questions regarding timelines of the things in development.
I'm still looking for a backup witness for this discussion. So if you're in the top 50 and interested in participating please message me through Discord.

Okay, question somehow in advance, because I am seeing your post after a while, unfortunately. My question for @andrarchy is:
How Steemit Inc addresses the account creation delay, because it is pretty hard for new users, especially traders to make themselves "addresses" as they do for example for Ethereum or almost any other major coin, in just a matter of seconds, buy for Steem it takes days before they are able to use their free accounts, which also require some personal information they may bot want to give away.
I am aware that hardfork 20 will take care of the account creation fee, but I am talking about a quicker solution which could be implemented before that, because nobody knows when HF 20 will take place.
What if on the Sign Up page we put an option of paid account creation, because very few new investors know about account creation services like @anonsteem, and for the big investors, the fee of 2 Steem is not a big deal at all, and they may be much more happier than creating their accounts in a couple of days and give away their phone number.

Great proposal ! Put in the start-up page on Condenser an option to BUY an account (with crypto, as on blocktrades for instance). There is one on busy.org (whose link to steemit.com is not necessarily apparent to newcomers), why not one in steemit.com ?

it's so incredible to realize that you're facilitating observers to examine about steemit blockchain and it's encouraging.

@aggroed, it's so great to know that you're hosting witnesses to discuss about steemit blockchain and it's progress.
Please, the concern I have is the difficulty new members are having to sign up to steemit. Is it feasible for this to be discussed during the witness meeting about making sign up easy. I have a whole lot of people that are interested in joining steemit but the delay in sign up is discouraging to prospects.

You raise a valid concern but the whole aspect of user registration seems to be manual at the back end which requires diligent monitoring and validation by admins. Honestly this is a great platform unlike other social tools that sell your data and try to sell you AD's from others .
STEEMIT brings in the actual engagement that needs to be from a social platform with "Proof-of-Brain" . I know some of us are used to a quick entrance but having a valid authentication process eliminates bots and users creating accounts for mining , scamming and spamming.
