Let's say you and your friends are building a giant lego castle, you have all the entrances and towers made of bricks, but you need someone to make sure everyone follows the rules without a leader, someone can use fake lego pieces or create an unstable structure that will collapse .
in the world of steem (a social network where people are encouraged to share materials) witness is like a "lego referee" who makes sure everything is fair and safe.
1 what is steem? Lego community!
steem is like a giant Lego Club where people:
- share posts (e.g. show off Lego projects)
- get rewards (e.g. get new Lego sets for smart ideas)
- work together to keep the community strong.
but just like the Lego project requires rules ===> steem needs *witnesses * to keep things running smoothly
2 what does a witness do? (meet the Lego referee!)
the witness is like a referee in your Lego game, his role is:
