The time has come to update you on the first activities we have been and on which we are currently working on:

We have written a first version of the white paper with all the basic information necessary for a correct use and peaceful coexistence within the Discord platform of SteempostIT. The white paper contains a series of recommendations and behavioural rules to follow, defined by the terms of service.
MODERATOR ROLE
All four members of this group are even a moderators, managing the roles of users, maintaining order, welcoming newcomers and supporting those involved in the training of newbies.

NEWBIE MANAGEMENT

We take care directly and also by supporting other figures, of the training of novices by means of advice, guides and tests (see next point), allowing newcomers to quickly learn a solid foundation to make the best use of Steemit platform without losing themselves in often unsuccessful researches of explanatory material. They will thus have the opportunity to devote most of their time and energy to creating quality content.

USE OF GOOGLE MODULES FOR TRAINING TESTS

Google modules represents a strong point for the management of the section of new entrants. Using a file shared between moderators and the first training staff, containing the list of questions with relative scores and answers, a script has been developed that allows the generation of modules, retrieving the questions randomly directly from the shared file.
The randomness is not only about the positioning of questions, but also about the disposition of each answer. This allows us to create tests that are unique and different from the previous ones. The creation of the module is the basis on which the tests are carried out to promote the status of conscious user and full access to the thematic rooms in the Discord channel of SteempostIT. Each test automatically saves the responses of each user and provides a series of statistics useful for the future improvement and growth of the group.
The test file, along with all the functions, is accessible by moderators, teachers and administrators. Automation has been necessary in view of future steady growth, with an average of between 3 and 6 new users per day (called apprentices).
In this way we always have access to an updated and scalable tool, especially with regard to the updating of questions and/or the possible addition and correction of what has already been developed. The source code for a similar project will be shown later through a series of posts.

THE MACHINE

The actually server is always now online and correctly configured according to the standards for a witness node.
The next step that we have in ours mind is to upgrade the machine from 32GB to 64GB. This idea is born from the current average use of RAM around 26GB, at the moment still sufficient, but we want to be ready for a future increase in the resources required. It will therefore be our responsibility to update the system as soon as possible, resulting in a slight increase in its monthly cost.
The server is currently hosted at Privex, which in our opinion is proving to be an excellent service managed by witness @someguy123.

To ensure its correct functioning, we constantly monitor:

• CPU performance
• RAM consumption
• free SSD disk space
• Connection stability
• attempts at intrusion
• updates to do
• correct synchronism with blockchain
• feed-price

E’ arrivato il momento di aggiornarvi sulle prime attività di cui ci siamo occupati e ci stiamo attualmente impegnando:

COMPILAZIONE WHITE PAPER

Abbiamo scritto una prima versione del white paper con tutte le informazioni base necessarie per un corretto utilizzo e una pacifica convivenza all’interno della piattaforma Discord di SteempostIT. All’interno del white paper, sono presenti una serie di consigli e regole comportamentali da seguire, definite dai termini di servizio.

RUOLO MODERATORE

Tutti e quattro componenti del gruppo si adoperano come moderatori occupandosi di gestire i ruoli degli utenti, mantenendo l’ordine, dando il benvenuto ai nuovi arrivati e supportando coloro che si occupano della formazione dei newbie.

MODERAZIONE

Tutti e quattro i membri di questo gruppo sono anche moderatori, gestiscono i ruoli degli utenti, mantengono l'ordine, danno il benvenuto ai nuovi arrivati e sostengono coloro che sono coinvolti nella formazione dei neofiti.

GESTIONE NEWBIE

Ci occupiamo, sia direttamente che supportando altre figure, della formazione degli novizi a mezzo di consigli, guide e test (vedi il punto seguente), permettendo ai nuovi entrati di imparare velocemente delle solide basi per utilizzare nel migliore dei modi la piattaforma di Steemit senza che si perdano in spesso infruttuose ricerche di materiale esplicativo. Avranno così modo di dedicare la maggioranza del tempo e delle energie alla creazione di contenuti di qualità.

UTILIZZO DI GOOGLE MODULI PER I TEST FORMATIVI

Google moduli rappresenta un punto di forza per la gestione della sezione dei nuovi entrati. Utilizzando un file condiviso tra moderatori e gli addetti alla prima formazione, contenente la lista delle domande con relativi punteggi e risposte, è stato sviluppato uno script che permette la generazione di moduli, ripescando le domande in modo casuale direttamente dal file condiviso.
La casualità non è solo sul posizionamento delle domande, ma anche sulla disposizione di ogni risposta. Questo ci permette di creare dei test ogni volta unici e diversi dai precedenti. La creazione del modulo è la base su cui vengono effettuati i test per la promozione allo status di utente consapevole e all’accesso completo delle stanze tematiche presenti nel canale Discord di SteempostIT. Ogni test salva automaticamente le risposte di ciascun utente e fornisce una serie di statistiche utili al miglioramento e alla crescita futura del gruppo.
Il file di test, insieme a tutte le funzionalità, è accessibile da moderatori, docenti e amministratori. L’automatismo è stato necessario in previsione di una futura e costante crescita, con una media che va attualmente dai 3 ai 6 nuovi utenti al giorno (chiamati apprendisti).
In questo modo abbiamo sempre accesso ad uno strumento aggiornato e scalabile, soprattutto per quanto riguarda l’aggiornamento delle domande e/o l’eventuale aggiunta e correzione di quanto già sviluppato. Il codice sorgente per realizzare un progetto simile verrà mostrato in seguito attraverso una serie di post.

IL SERVER

L’attuale server è attualmente online e correttamente configurato secondo gli standard per un nodo witness.
Il prossimo step che ci siamo proposti è quello di eseguire un upgrade della ram da 32GB a 64GB e nasce dall’attuale utilizzo medio della RAM mediamente attorno ai 26GB, al momento ancora sufficienti, ma desideriamo essere già pronti per un futuro incremento delle risorse richieste. Sarà quindi nostra cura provvedere al più presto ad un aggiornamento del sistema con un conseguente lieve aumento del suo costo mensile.
Il server è attualmente ospitato presso Privex, che a nostra opinione si sta dimostrando un ottimo servizio gestito dal witness @someguy123.

Per assicuraci il suo corretto funzionamento, monitoriamo costantemente:

• le prestazioni della CPU
• il consumo della RAM
• l’utilizzo dello spazio su dischi SSD
• la stabilità della connessione
• i tentativi di intrusione
• gli aggiornamenti da eseguire
• il sincronismo con la blockchain
• il feed-price
