Damnit! Sleep is a Luxury this STEEM Witness Doesn't Get! ( Witness Back Online! )
Woke up this afternoon to sheer chaos going on in the #witness-blocks room over on steemit.chat with my name going off as my backup witness running steemd 0.18.1 decided to crap itself and make me miss a handful of blocks. It's damn embarrassing to wake up to.. :/

This is unacceptable! overall I caused over 30 seconds of lag on our network and that stings to me more than any loss of potential STEEM income or anything else really. It's a manner of honour and integrity for me and I feel I failed the whole network by not being ontop of this! Truth be told I feel terrible and that I let you all down. Please accept my appologies as I iron out the kinks in my witness infrustructure to ensure this type of thing doesn't happen again.
Admittedly I'd turned my ringer on my phone off before I slept.. I used STEEM Monitor to check for missed blocks and have them forwarded to my phone to alert me.. which works damn great... When I keep my ringer on.. Again, A noob move and I apologize.
Witnesses are on call 24/7/365 and I'll be sure to keep a closer eye on things. I did get a great sleep.. But at a cost of that much lag to the network simply put wasn't worth it. Sorry STEEM!
Disabled my witness key until I can get sorted out and back online again. Back online ASAP!

Don't worry @klye - software/hardware/users errors are part of the witnesses toolkit!! I make f- ups all the time mining little Bitbars - I'm only one of 6 connections on the network and appear to get every block at the moment! So just discount it and don't be so hard on yourself and STEEM ON! You got my witness vote next time for your open honesty here :)) Few would be so open.
Has the world ceased to rotate? is the sun still shining?. Have we stopped breathing? Congratulations, you have found out you are human and make a tactical error ocasionally. Learn from it but enjoy your sleep more, you deserve it kyle.

I wouldn't stress it bro, shit happens and knowing that you care enough to fix the problem is more than enough for me. You shouldn't stress over the past, their are systems in place to keep the chain running when hiccups happen. There are no mistakes, only chances to learn and grow. Namaste.

Hi there @klye, good to see you're back on form. Not sure this is the place to ask this question but here goes. What's up with steem.global? I had almost one steem token then my balance went to almost zero; and this morning I tried to log in but there was no access to my account. I saw the banner saying the site is being worked on, is that why?
Anyway, I'm happy that you're back on form my friend, good stuff :D
I did make a text backup of balances before I nuked em..
Been hacking away at the damn thing trying to make it work 100% again..!
