The Wisdom of Learning in Letter 3.
I want to talk about what I should do in my life. It is forgiveness.
It does not always coincide when you are living with others. If so, there is a natural controversy. In the process, it hurts each other when emotions get stronger. The wounds of the mind that so created make feelings that hate someone.
Such feelings can also deepen among friends, lovers, or family members. To solve this, one must first show the intention of reconciliation. This will prevent it from getting worse. But it is, actually, not easy to forgive and approach someone first. It requires a certain level of generosity and courage.
This kanji means forgiveness. The letter that means the same, and the letter that means the heart, made this. It means that my mind is the same as the mind of the other person. Then, does forgiveness mean the state of mind being equal? What effort should we make to be in that position?
To match my mind with someone's mind, first of all, it is important to understand him. The answer to the following question should be found. Why did he do that? Why did he make that decision? What background made him make such a choice?
If you try to understand the other person's words and actions, you will find that his argument is also true. "Different people call it different things." There is no absolute right in the world. I am right and he is right, too. Therefore, when you forgive someone, it is advantageous to understand each other's situation and compromise rather than point out a mistake.
